About this project

This site counts up publicly available figures. So that this stays verifiable, here is how it is produced and what it is independent of.

What this site is

A counter that carries the officially reported total of EU support for Ukraine forward at a constant rate. Every starting figure comes from the publications linked on the front page: the European Commission, the Council, the European Parliament, Eurostat and the Kiel Institute. The full calculation is stated on the front page, including the points that cut against an obvious reading of it.

What it does not claim

The site does not judge whether this spending is right, too high or too low. It makes no statement about the war, about blame, or about the policy of any state. It shows a sum and discloses how that sum arises — the judgement is left to the reader.

Who is behind it

A private, independent data project. There is no funding from any government, authority, political party, foundation or other organisation, whether inside the EU or outside it. No advertising, no paid content, no clients. The operator does not appear by name; what should count is whether the figures check out, not who published them. Anyone who doubts the calculation can redo it from the linked sources.

What data is collected

  • No cookies.
  • No tracking, no analytics tools, no counting pixels.
  • No forms, no newsletter sign-up, no user accounts.
  • No requests to third-party servers: fonts, images and scripts are all served from this domain. Loading the page transfers no data to anyone else.
  • The host, Cloudflare, processes technically necessary connection data. The project has no influence over and no access to it.

The data is open

The underlying values are published under CC BY 4.0 and are available in machine-readable form. Anyone reusing them can and should check against the original sources.
